January 1967 – the Searchers released their next single (see below). Catalogue number was 7N-17225. It was their first single that didn’t chart in the UK.

The A-side was sung by Mike Pender with Frank Allen assisting. The flip side was sung by Mike alone.

The single was released in many countries, like Australia (on Astor), Ireland, Sweden and Denmark with another picture cover I unfortunately don’t have. The song didn’t chart in any country. Reason enough to look for another change of style. More about that in the next issue about Western Union.
